-Went on holiday to Guishan Island, Guangdong Province for October’s National Day. Ended up being the smoothest trip, literally. 40 minutes in a taxi, 40 minutes on a ferry, and then 5 minutes in a shuttle to my hotel. I’m 99.9% sure I was the only foreigner there. For whatever reason, I thought traveling there would be complete chaos and a total nightmare considering my Chinese is elementary at best.

-Guishan Island wasn’t anything special in my eyes. Really small beach with no waves, simple wet market, and some typical Chinese restaurants. Would I go back? Probably not, I would recommend for a simple weekend getaway only.
